The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Open House returns to Paya Lebar Air Base over the weekend of 21 and 22 May after a five-year hiatus. Although reduced in scale compared to the previous open houses, perennial favourites — a static display of at least one of each type of the locally-based fleet, a demonstration of airpower by F-15SGs and F-16Cs, as well as joyrides on a number of RSAF aircraft types — are still set to thrill visitors. Here are some sneaks of what's in store at the event:

Photographers of aircraft on static display will have to content with numerous tentages — set up to provide relief from the sun for visitors waiting to climb into the cockpits — on top of their traditional bugbear, the boarding ladders. © Roy Choo
