No. 10 Skuadron of the Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM — Royal Malaysian Air Force) made history earlier this month on May 5 when it flew in formation 11 of its 12 Airbus Helicopters EC725 AP from Kuantan Air Base in the state of Pahang. Led by Leftenan Kolonel Mohd Kahar bin Mohd Kassim, the formation flight demonstrated the excellent serviceability of the helicopters and the teamwork by 10 Skuadron personnel involved in generating the aircraft for flight.
Malaysia's EC725s serve in a variety of roles from utility transport to combat search and rescue. Ordered in 2010, they were delivered in batches over the last 2 years. The 12th and last airframe is believed to have been delivered earlier this year.
